Actually, I did think about this “Letters” a lot. Of course I wanted to do some slapstick comedy thing, making fun of the Old Testament, the Bible in general, christians, and so on. Christianity is one of the two fundamental piers of our Western Society and we are right to
criticise it continuously, especially regarding all the crimes that have been committed in the name of God within the last 2000 years.
The repeating of some historical events should be avoided (listen to the German guy with the jewish name)
But then came Charly Hebdo, which I still take VERY personal!
And suddenly, God and his followers are the lesser evil...
Of course it´s not the religions that are bad - non of them. It´s usually the institutions using faith as tool to control people.
The true danger are people who let the institution control them. That´s where you get your fanatics and your terrorists.
Without have been held back by the Catholic Church, we would have evolved about 500 years further as a species.
And only thanks to a lot of cultural and political reforms in western societies we were able to overcome a lot of extremely bad things and we are still working on issues like the lack of equality of the genders, the “racial” differences or the oppressed freedom of sexual
orientation - everything still with lots of negative interference by religious (and political) institutions.
With head-scarf-wearers calling every non-head-scarf-wearer a foul, impure creature just by wearing a piece of clothing, the islamic
influence is extremely bad for the cultural development of our society. It´s like walking backwards towards the Middle Ages. A head-scalf wearer says, she wants to go to paradise. But what she really says is “I am willing to obey the institutional Islam and become a slave
to the male gender voluntarily, because I believe, there will be a reward for my torment and suffering in the afterlife.” - Great.
All this, because the islamic countries didn´t have their cultural revolutions. Not yet. They are working on it - most of the time under an enormous threat - especially women, who are fighting for better conditions for their gender - basic things like school; or marriage, after they have grown pubes and tits. My deepest respect for these women! You truely have BALLS and deserve any support you can get!
I guess, that´s why so many people in Germany, are now sympathising with the political right wing: because they are afraid of losing the freedom they have fought so hard for over the last decades, now facing a million refugees, most of them being hopelessly under-educated.
Well, basically that´s bollocks: take a look at China-Towns or Irish-, Latin- or Italian Quarters! Everone who doesn´t want to be
integrated in a society usually keeps to people of the same kind. So let them have their muslim-quarters, for Allah´s sake! As long as they live peacefully - and pay taxes. It´s their kids´ kids, who will make the difference. They will have grown up in their new home country and they will love it just as much as any bratwurst eating, beer drinking Kraut. They will speak at least two languages and they will have two histories to learn: that of their home land and that of their family´s origin. They´ll have evolved - in all refugee-hosting countries.
So what CAN we do? Well, first of all, as Kyoko says: stay critical! According to the media, we have a war against ISIS terrorists.
According to Kurdish fighters in Northern Syria, there is no ISIS to fight anymore - they are fleeing, running, hiding in horror, because of the bombs of the Western Alliance. And the Northern-Syrian allied groups say, they don´t need help, apart from air strikes and weapons...
I suggest, you make sure, that in your direct surroundings - the part of the world, that YOU control - no living thing feels hunger, feels cold, or suffers from any form of violence or harm. If you manage to do that, you are leading a righteous life - without devine guidance.
As soon as everyone does it, world-wide, this planet will be THE place to be in the Universe! ^^
